Viktor Orbán’s 16-year rule has come to an end after the opposition Tisza party, led by Péter Magyar, won the Hungary election by a landslide. Orbán quickly conceded after what he described as a 'painful but unambiguous' result. His defeat will come as a blow to Donald Trump, who has repeatedly endorsed Orbán and whose vice-president, JD Vance, had travelled to Budapest days before the election.
