Envie para o g1 O evento ao ar livre, realizado anualmente na pequena cidade de Wacken, no distrito de Steinburg, é considerado o maior festival de heavy metal do mundo e atrai cerca de 80 mil metaleiros. A capelania evangélica do festival é organizada pela área de juventude da Nordkirche há 15 anos. A equipe inclui pedagogos, psicoterapeutas, conselheiros diversos, diáconos e pastores. Agora no g1 Os capelães estarão instalados numa tenda ao lado do posto de primeiros socorros da Cruz Vermelha Alemã. Haverá também um segundo ponto de atendimento num ônibus escolar americano adaptado, localizado na parte norte da área de camping, além de uma tenda na chamada Wheel of Steel Area. Centenas de atendimentos Equipes formadas por duas pessoas da capelania do festival circularão pelo local usando coletes azul-claro facilmente identificáveis. O serviço é aberto a todos. "Às vezes tudo é demais, muito barulho, muita gente, solidão na multidão. Às vezes os problemas já existem e surgem inesperadamente. Em outras vezes as situações difíceis aparecem de repente", diz a pastora Katharina Schunck. "Não importa o tamanho das preocupações, conversar ajuda, e estamos aqui, ouvindo e apoiando, abertos a todos, 24 horas por dia", acrescentou. "A maioria das conversas gira em torno de estar presente e apoiar as pessoas na busca de soluções adequadas para o momento, para que possam retornar à experiência do festival sentindo-se mais fortes e continuar celebrando", afirmou. Segundo ela, a equipe pastoral realizou cerca de 320 atendimentos e conversas com participantes do festival no ano passado. Igreja do Metal Já a Igreja do Metal é uma tradição que acontece na quarta-feira da semana do festival. Este ano, em 29 de julho haverá novamente um culto de metal às 16h30 na igreja de Wacken, seguido por uma apresentação da banda austríaca Visions of Atlantis. Durante os dias do festival, a igreja permanecerá aberta ao público na quinta-feira (das 14h às 19h), na sexta-feira (das 10h às 19h) e no sábado (das 10h às 19h), oferecendo mais um espaço para quem quiser se afastar um pouco da agitação. No ano passado, cerca de mil pessoas utilizaram a oferta.

Startling new research shows that in many countries – including old US allies – the public prefers Beijing to Washington

Earlier this year, a spate of western TikTok and Instagram creators announced that they were at “a very Chinese time in my life” – drinking hot water and wearing slippers around their homes. The Chinamaxxing phenomenon primarily reflected the constant need of influencers for novel content. But social media trends also reflect a growing fascination with China, as the economic historian Adam Tooze has noted.

While it broods over China’s economic, military and technical advance, the Trump administration is accelerating Beijing’s diplomatic progress, as striking new polling by the Pew Research Center shows. For the first time, China and Xi Jinping are seen more favourably than the US and its president in most of the 36 major countries surveyed – including Canada, Mexico and Australia. Only in six countries did people rate the US more highly. While Beijing has seen significant improvements in some places, the slump in Washington’s standing is more dramatic. Across 20 countries, the median percentage with a favourable view of China rose from 32% to 46% between 2023 and this year; for the US, it fell from 58% to 36%. Views of China were much more positive in Latin America, Africa and parts of south and south-east Asia than in wealthier European and east Asian countries.
